Job summary

Philips in Plymouth, MN offers a paid Data AI/ML Engineering Intern role for Summer 2027. You will join the Software and AI/ML Engineering team within IGT-D Software R&D to support clinical imaging software data workflows and ML model work.

As an intern, you’ll gather and analyze data, assist with model training and evaluation, complete regulatory training, and present an end-of-summer project summary detailing approach, results and learnings.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
• Interest in AI/ML, data science, medical imaging, healthcare data or medical device software.
• Exposure to data analysis, machine learning, statistics, or model evaluation through coursework or projects.

Responsibilities

• Support gathering, processing, organizing, and analyzing raw data from diverse sources.
• Assist with exploratory data analysis to identify patterns and data quality issues.
• Help verify data source quality and documentation of datasets and metrics.
• Assist model training, evaluation, tuning, and performance analysis under guidance.
