Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories invites R&D Graduate Interns to join the TITANS Cybersecurity team for Summer 2027. Projects span software, hardware, and embedded systems to tackle real national-security challenges on cyber topics.

Interns will work on reverse engineering, malware analysis, intrusion testing, and cryptography while developing skills in data science and analytics. Onsite only, with comprehensive training and mentorship provided.

Qualifications

• Earned bachelor's degree in a science, engineering, or math field.
• Enrolled full-time in a spring term before internship or graduating in spring.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0.
• Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during summer.
• Ability to secure and maintain US citizenship for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Work on real-world cybersecurity problems or software/hardware challenges.
• Engage in reverse engineering, vulnerability assessment, and malware analysis.
• Participate in intrusion prevention/detection, testing, and forensics.
• Contribute to network operations, information protection, and resiliency.
• Address authentication, authorization, cryptography, and data analytics.
• Support hardware/software research with embedded systems and FPGA work.
• Collaborate on projects that impact national security while learning best practices.
• Work onsite at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM.
