Job summary

WSP USA is offering a summer internship in Dallas for civil engineering students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program. The 12‑week program starts May 17, 2027, with a flexible start date and no relocation or housing assistance provided.

You will work with the Dallas Civil Team, gaining exposure to real projects, mentorship, and opportunities to develop technical, social, and ethical skills while supporting design and documentation efforts.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of May 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Demonstrated interest in Transportation or related field and desire to advance skills.
• Capable of communicating effectively to engineering and non‑engineering audiences.
• Authorization to work in the United States at internship start.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to policies.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic principles of Transportation Engineering.
• Assist in preparing final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision‑making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct.
• Perform additional duties as required by business needs.
• Note: there is no relocation or housing assistance.
