Job summary

Foothills Area YMCA is seeking a Seasonal Camp Coordinator to support youth-focused programs and ensure a quality camp experience. You will help design and deliver activities, supervise staff and volunteers, and maintain safe, inclusive environments for all participants.

The role requires CPR/First Aid/AED certifications, a preferred high school diploma, and ability to work with diverse groups of families and youth. Strong organizational skills and adherence to YMCA policies are essential.

Qualifications

High school diploma preferred.
CPR/First Aid and AED certifications required.
Child Abuse Prevention training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Oversees program development and delivery to support YMCA objectives.
Assists in recruiting, hiring, training and supervising camp staff and volunteers.
Maintains effective relationships with parents and campers' families.
Oversees registration, administration, food service and transportation.
Leads programs, adheres to YMCA standards and prepares paperwork.
Oversees promotion and marketing of camp activities to recruit staff.
Makes welfare, health and safety decisions for campers and staff.
Enforces policies and assumes additional responsibilities as needed.
