Job summary

Mount Hermon Association, Inc. in the United States seeks a Kidder Creek Lifeguard/Recreation/Hospitality staff member to lead campers in fun, safe, and missional adventures aligned with MHA’s mission and values.

The role includes supervising aquatic activities, enforcing safety rules, assisting with pond maintenance, and leading laser tag, field games, and other activities during the summer. You will also help with housekeeping and transport duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be CPR/FA certified prior to arriving at camp.
• Current Lifeguard Certification required.
• Valid Food Handler’s Card.
• Have a current valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision of on-site and off-site aquatic activities.
• Uphold and enforce aquatics rules to ensure safety of all swimmers.
• Assist Lifeguard Lead and other lifeguards with daily, weekly, and monthly pond maintenance.
• Oversee and implement a variety of recreation activities as assigned, with enthusiasm, throughout the summer including leading laser tag, field games and other activities as assigned.
• Share in the responsibilities of keeping camp areas clean and orderly. Perform housekeeping duties: cleaning bathrooms, stocking supplies, running trash, etc.
• Ride the transportation bus as a chaperone one weekend.
• Act as a first responder in event of injury and assist health tech as needed with dispersing of medications.
• Participate in camp activities to support counselor team and be a positive impact on campers (ie. Campfire, meal times, etc)
• Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisors.
