️ Now Hiring: Summer Camp Counselors (a.k.a. Heroes in Sneakers) ️

Do kids gravitate toward you like glitter to glue? Can you lead a game of kickball, plan a tie-dye activity, and supervise a field trip to the zoo — all before lunch? Then Step One Academy’s Summer Program is calling your name (probably on a walkie-talkie).

We're looking for Camp Counselors who are equal parts responsible, creative, and fun — and maybe just a little immune to chaos. You’ll be working with amazing kids ages 5–13, helping them make the kind of summer memories that stick for life (and yes, maybe some glue will literally stick too).

What You’ll Be Doing:

Keeping 40–60 energetic campers safe, engaged, and entertained

Coming up with awesome activities and projects tied to our Program Director’s curriculum

Joining in on field trips, special events, and general summer awesomeness

Laughing. A lot. (But also enforcing safety rules like a pro.)

Acting as part mentor, part cruise director, part superhero

What We’re Looking For:

Maturity and a real love for working with kids (ages 5–13)

Creative thinking, team spirit, and a solid sense of humor

Ability to show up on time, follow directions, and make a mean friendship bracelet (okay, that last one is optional but helpful)

Available for training before the program begins (yes, we believe in being prepared)

Bonus:

We’re also keeping an eye out for a Head Counselor — someone who can take on a leadership role. If you’ve got that “ringleader energy,” let us know in your application. You might just be our go-to!

Lots of our kids are bilingual (English/Spanish) so if you've got those skills that's another bonus!
