Job summary

Penn State University is seeking an Instructor for the Palmer Summer Art Program to be held July 20–24, 2026. The Youth Program Leader will supervise minors and manage day-to-day program operations, including health information and emergency procedures.

The role requires completing required background checks and working closely with the Program Director to deliver activities and ensure safety at all times.

Qualifications

• Clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and FBI Fingerprint background check.
• Ability to supervise minors 24/7 and ensure safety.
• Strong communication with Program Director and Program Manager; follow emergency protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 supervision and safety of minors during the program.
• Manage daily program administration and adherence to youth policies and procedures.
• Collect, store and verify medication; oversee participant health information.
• Assist with development of instructional content and deliver lessons as needed.
• Monitor participant behavior and respond to safety or health concerns per protocol.
