Job summary

Athena Global Advisors, Inc. in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a Summer 2027 Intern, Art Director in the Creative Department.

You will collaborate on campaign concepts, visuals, presentations, social content, websites and marketing materials while gaining hands-on experience in design execution and art direction. You will learn concept development, visual storytelling, branding, typography, and direction for photography and illustration, using Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in graphic design, advertising, visual communications, or related field.
• Portfolio demonstrates strong design fundamentals and visual storytelling.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma; understanding of typography and brand systems.
• Ability to translate ideas into compelling visual concepts and polished design executions.

Responsibilities

• Support development of campaign concepts and visual directions.
• Design layouts, graphics, presentations, social content, and other materials.
• Help create mood boards, explorations, comps, storyboards, and initial concepts.
• Explore typography, color, and graphic styles to support creative ideas.
• Apply core design principles: typography, layout, balance, rhythm, visual unity.
• Collaborate with art directors, designers, and copywriters to align visuals and messaging.
