The Federal Reserve Bank of New York offers the Undergraduate Summer Analyst Program for junior undergraduates to gain hands-on experience in finance, economics, and data analysis through project-based work and professional development.

Interns join a cohort, receive mentorship, and work in one area for ten weeks, with opportunities to connect with senior leaders and participate in learning events within the public service and financial services world.

Qualifications

• Interest in finance/economics with strong academic record and passion for data analysis.
• High interest in Finance, Banking, or Economics with strong academic performance.
• Experience in data analysis, handling large databases, and using statistical packages or programming languages.
• Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist economists and research associates in analysis of current public policy issues and events.
• Assist economists and research associates in long-term, academically oriented research projects.
• Conduct econometric analyses intended for Bank publications and academic journals.
