Job summary

TLC Engineering Solutions, Inc. seeks a Summer 2027 Technology Intern in Fort Worth, TX. This entry-level internship offers hands-on work on real projects, mentorship from seasoned engineers, and exposure to Revit drafting, AV, voice/data, and access-control design.

You will rotate through projects in data centers, conference rooms, and healthcare facilities, with a flexible hybrid schedule and potential continued part-time work after summer, based on performance and school schedule.

Qualifications

  • Current student pursuing an ABET accredited bachelor's degree in computer science, IT project management, architectural engineering, electrical engineering, or other consulting related degree
  • Desire to pursue a career in technology consulting, specifically in low voltage design
  • Ability to work full time (40 hours per week) from May through August 2027
  • Computer software knowledge or ability to learn, as appropriate (Revit, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Assist on real projects from concept to completion of construction
  • Receive on-the-job training and mentorship from experienced engineers
  • Learn basics of Revit drafting/modeling and AV, voice/data, security/access design for conference rooms, data centers, and emergency response centers

Description

How Do Summer Internships Work?

Interns start mid-May and work until early August and work full-time (40 hours per week). TLC provides flexible schedule options with various start times. Interns have the benefit of TLC's hybrid schedule where they can work up to 3 days from home. There are opportunities for Interns to continue after the summer on a part-time basis dependent upon performance and school schedule.

Responsibilities:

The Intern will work at applying academic education to assigned tasks on real projects of all sizes and types from concept to completion of construction. They are provided on-the-job training and mentorship from experienced engineers to learn the basics of Revit drafting / modeling and audio / visual, voice / data, security / access control design for conference rooms, data centers, emergency response centers, etc.
