onsemi invites engineering students to join the Summer 2027 Technology Development Internship at Hopewell Junction, NY. Interns will contribute to CMOS image sensor and packaging projects, with exposure to cutting-edge manufacturing technologies and real-world, high-impact initiatives.

Qualifications

• Successful internship candidates are headed into Junior or Senior year of their Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related degree.
• Preferred Qualifications: Proficient with lab equipment (oscilloscope, voltage/current probes, power supplies, various mechanical tools).

Responsibilities

• Join the 300mm Technology Development team in East Fishkill, NY as a summer 2027 intern.
• Be part of CMOS Image Sensor, 65nm CMOS BCD integration, or Advanced Packaging development teams.
• Develop new processes or control plans for internship projects.
• Evaluate and qualify new materials, processes, and equipment.
• Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions to improve yield and device performance.
• Demonstrate strong multi-tasking, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

We are seeking highly motivated Engineering Students to join our 300mm Technology Development team in East Fishkill, NY as a summer 2027 intern. These Teams are critical to our ability to introduce new technology for ramp to volume manufacturing.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful intern will be part of CMOS Image Sensor, 65nm CMOS BCD integration, or Advanced Packaging development teams.

Internship Project may include:

• Develop new processes or control plans.
• Evaluate and qualify new materials, processes, and equipment.
• Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions to improve yield and device performance.
• Individual must be able to multi‑task as an individual and in team environments.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills verbal as well as written (English).
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $26.00 -$44.00 per hour exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
