Job summary

Shine BrightX LLC is offering a 10-week paid engineering internship at the Nuclear location in Morris, IL, from June 7 to August 13, 2027. You will work on targeted projects under supervision and mentorship to gain hands-on experience.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a Fall 2027 engineering program (Electrical, Mechanical, Nuclear, Civil, or Chemical) with strong GPAs, leadership, and teamwork skills, and must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's Engineering program for Fall 2027, majoring in Electrical, Mechanical, Nuclear, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8 cumulative and 3.0 in major courses.
• Demonstrated outstanding academic performance.
• Eagerness to contribute in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
• Excellent leadership, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Must have the legal ability to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Participate in a 10-week paid internship from June 7th to August 13th, 2027, at the Nuclear location in Morris, IL.
• Work on specific projects to gain real-world, hands-on experience under the guidance of an assigned supervisor and technical mentor.
• Engage in projects such as Cooling Tower Drone Inspections, Nuclear Core Analysis, Control Circuit Wiring Design for Feedwater Pump, Thermal Overload Calculation for Motor Operated Valves, Seismic Monitoring Instrumentation Upgrade, Weld Overlays Calculations on Feedwater Heater, and Hydrogen Electrolyzer Project.
