Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a Public Sector Advisory Intern to gain experience across client engagements, build your professional network coast-to-coast, and contribute to meaningful projects in government and public services.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in Master of Public Policy or Master of Public Administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn and execute meaningful work engagements with real client impact.
• Participate in intern orientation and training and development program.
• Perform internal control risk, operations, and organizational reviews.
• Collaborate with Staff, Seniors, Managers and Partners with specialized public sector experience.
• Engage directly with a variety of public sector clients from municipal governments to school districts and public power agencies.

• Enrolled in a Master of Public Policy or Master of Public Administration program, preferred
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer‑sponsored visa sponsorship, now or in the future
• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age
• Successful candidates will have:
• Bachelor's degree in finance, Public Policy, Accounting, or a related business major
• A resume and unofficial transcript(s) as a required part of the application process. Relevant internship, work experience and/or involvement with a professional organization desired
• The abilityto work effectively in a team environment with all levels of client personnel
• Demonstrated skills in the areas of time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, and problem solving
• Organizational and analytical skills, initiative, adaptability
• Proficiencywith Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

The pay rate ranges for this job position are listed below. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant's skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements and geographic location. Baker Tilly offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to eligible employees.

In Austin, TX: pay rate range is $26.25 to $88.20

In Chicago, IL: pay rate range is $27.50 to $92.40

In Indianapolis, IN: $23.75 to $79.80
