Qualifications

  • Ability to articulate complex problems and propose elegant solutions

  • Help drive the creation of high-quality design deliverables (UI components, wireframes, visual layouts, interactive prototypes) reflecting high visual and functional standards
  • Rapidly adopt AI and Intuit design system frameworks to ensure consistency across touchpoints
  • Partner with Senior Designers and cross-functional teams to understand customer problems and apply design thinking
  • Use rapid prototyping to test assumptions, gather data, and move from insight to execution
  • Solicit diverse feedback and contribute to design reviews to inform team decisions
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, and research to deliver polished work

Job description

To qualify for US internships, you must be currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program with an expected graduation date after the internship/co-op ends. If you do not meet this requirement, we invite you to explore other opportunities available on our careers website.

Intuit internships are 12 weeks throughout the summer. We have fixed start and end dates that are designed to work with various universities' academic calendars.

Cohort 1: Monday, May 17 - Friday, August 6, 2027 (12 weeks)

Cohort 2: Monday, June 14 - Friday September 3, 2027 (12 weeks)

Responsibilities

  • Help drive the creation of high-quality design deliverables (e.g., UI components, wireframes, visual layouts, and interactive prototypes) that reflect a relentless high bar for visual and functional excellence
  • Rapidly adopt and leverage AI and our design systems and visual frameworks to ensure consistency, speed, and brand alignment across customer touchpoints within your project areas
  • Partner closely with Senior Designers and cross-functional teams to deeply understand customer problems and apply design thinking methods to discover and validate elegant, user-centric solutions
  • Embrace speed and a bias for learning by using rapid, iterative prototyping to test assumptions, gather data, and quickly move from insight to execution
  • Actively solicit diverse feedback from peers and partners, and contribute constructively to design reviews, using sound rationale to inform team decisions
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with engineering, product management, and research teams to drive alignment and deliver polished, high-craft work

Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in a degree-seeking program (associate's, bachelor's, master's/MBA, or the equivalent) with an expected graduation date after the internship ends
  • Familiarity with AI tools and a curiosity about how AI can be applied to solve real-world problems
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for the duration of the internship
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment at an Intuit office location determined by your team and role (Relocation stipend will be provided)
  • An online portfolio that boldly showcases a high standard of design excellence and your creative process
  • Proficiency in modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite) and prototyping methods, demonstrating a bias for building and learning new technologies quickly
  • A deep passion for design and the drive to create products that not only resonate with customers on an emotional level but also clearly translate into business impact and customer prosperity
  • The ability to articulate complex problems simply and propose innovative, elegant solutions, clearly communicating the impact of designs and providing a logical framework to support conclusions

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender. The expected base pay range for this position is: $32.41 - $70.70 /hr.
