Job summary

Cryptic Vector invites students pursuing Computer Science or Computer Engineering to join our Cyber Engineer internship. You'll work with an engineering team on reverse engineering, vulnerability analysis, software development, and DevSecOps, gaining hands-on experience on mission-critical projects.

You'll contribute to software solutions with C, C++, and Python, participate in DevSecOps practices, and engage in code reviews and testing, all while on-site in Ohio. US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree program (CS/CE/Cyber Eng) with graduation 2028–2030.
• Strong programming skills in at least one language.
• Familiarity with reverse engineering tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Work on software development, reverse engineering, and vulnerability analysis.
• Contribute to projects using C, C++, and Python.
• Develop mission-critical software with a focus on security and automation.
• Participate in DevSecOps practices and security in workflows.
• Identify and analyze security vulnerabilities in software and systems.
• Collaborate with engineers on national-security projects.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging.

Cyber Engineer

We are seeking talented and motivated students pursuing a Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree. As a Cyber Engineer intern you will work on a variety of technologies, and gain hands‑on experience in different skills including reverse engineering, vulnerability analysis, software development, mission automation, and DevSecOps. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with an engineering team to solve complex challenges using state-of-the-art innovations and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Work on cutting-edge technologies in software development, reverse engineering, and vulnerability analysis.
• Contribute to software development projects using languages like C, C++, and Python.
• Develop and enhance mission-critical software solutions with a focus on security and automation.
• Participate in DevSecOps practices, including security integration in development workflows.
• Assist in identifying and analyzing security vulnerabilities in software and systems.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers on real‑world projects that impact national security.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to improve system performance and security.
• Research and experiment with new tools, techniques, and technologies to enhance cybersecurity solutions.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a relevant degree program (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cyber Engineering), with a graduation date of 2028, 2029, or 2030
• Strong programming skills in at least one language
• Familiarity with reverse engineering tools and methodologies and/or software development
• US Citizenship required
• 40 hours/week on-site at Cryptic Vector
