Team Overview

Intuit's Global Business Solutions Group (GBSG) is dedicated to delivering a portfolio of solutions that help businesses thrive at every stage of growth. Within GBSG, our teams help businesses get paid, manage complex billing workflows, and access the financing they need to operate and scale — delivering industry‑leading cash flow and operational efficiency benefits through offerings like QuickBooks Payments and QuickBooks Capital.

Small and mid‑market businesses — which manage higher transaction volumes, multi‑entity operations, and more sophisticated AR/AP and financing needs — represent a significant growth opportunity for our portfolio. As an MBA intern, you will be matched to one of several teams spanning product marketing, go‑to‑market strategy, and pricing across the GBSG portfolio, working with passionate teams focused on delivering exceptional experiences for customers and strong results for our business, in a fun and high‑performing environment.

Responsibilities

You will help shape how we define, position, and go to market with our highest‑value customers. Depending on team placement, your core project may center on customer segmentation and the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), positioning and messaging, or product and go‑to‑market strategy. Responsibilities could include:

  • Conducting primary and secondary research — including customer, market, and competitive analysis — and gathering insights to identify unmet needs and new market opportunities
  • Becoming a subject matter expert on our business customers through customer interviews and Follow Me Homes, sales calls and feedback, and accountant feedback
  • Supporting the development and refresh of the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and positioning/messaging frameworks, grounded in data and customer insights
  • Keeping a pulse on the competitive landscape and market trends, staying up to date on how new technologies and go‑to‑market strategies are shaping the industry
  • Synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data — voice of the customer, sales feedback, product usage, competitive dynamics, and market landscape — into product and go‑to‑market strategies with differentiated value propositions, reasons to believe, and proof points
  • Supporting the refinement of customer segments and market sizing, and developing business cases in partnership with Product Management, Finance, Analytics, and Sales
  • Contributing to pricing and packaging strategy based on customer and competitive insights as well as business growth targets
  • Conducting product‑market fit analysis to assess how well current offerings and value propositions resonate with customers, and identifying gaps and opportunities to strengthen fit
  • Coordinating with the customer research team to scope and develop research briefs
  • Setting success metrics, monitoring against milestones, and providing data‑driven recommendations
  • Tracking the progress of go‑to‑market deliverables related to marketing campaigns
  • Presenting updates, learnings, and final recommendations to senior leadership
Qualifications
  • Must be enrolled in an MBA degree‑seeking program throughout the duration of the internship
  • Professional experience in strategy, marketing, or product management preferred (typically 3–5 years)
  • Demonstrated leadership and track record of delivering results
  • Ability to think strategically and leverage strong analytical skills, including on ambiguous or complex issues
  • Ability to translate customer insight and business strategy into great execution
  • Strong ability to collaborate cross‑functionally, build enduring partnerships, and lead and influence without direct authority
  • Outstanding verbal, written, visual/presentation, and interpersonal communication skills; an effective communicator at all levels
  • Self‑directed and self‑motivated; takes complete ownership of the work and its outcome
  • Track record of making principled, data‑based business recommendations balanced with sound judgment
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • High energy and positive mindset
  • Passion for delighting customers with technology solutions grounded in customer insights
  • Interest in fintech (payments, lending, or money movement) and marketing to business customers is a plus
