Job summary

Mars Snacking Factory Internship in Waco, Texas offers a 10-11 week summer program providing hands-on experience with real business challenges across product development, manufacturing, and compliance.

You will be mentored by a Line Manager and gain exposure to Mars' brands, data-driven decision making, and opportunities to grow within a global, pet-focused company.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degrees in Chemical Engineering or Food Science.
• Interest in R&D, innovation, and consumer products.
• Willingness to intern in the summer before graduation.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
• Willing to undergo drug and background screening.
• Own transportation to the site.

Responsibilities

Mars Snacking Factory Innovation Internship Experience

As a Mars Snacking Factory Innovation Intern, you will gain exposure to the following areas:

• Product, process, and packaging development
• Site Manufacturing and Engineering Teams
• Compliance functions including quality & food safety or scientific and regulatory affairs.
• Sensory
• Work with a Line Manager who will serve as your day-to-day, on-site mentor to provide guidance throughout the experience.

What we’re looking for:

• Proactive, curious, and passionate with a strong drive for results, a hunger to learn and an eagerness to quickly build relationships across the organization enabling them to support our R&D day-to-day operations.
• Enthusiastic aboutour iconic brands,research, innovation, andthe consumer products industry
• Pursuing degrees in Chemical Engineering/Food Science, or other related engineering disciplines
• Excited about leveraging data to make decisions that drive efficiency
• Eligible candidates will intern the summer prior to their final graduation date.
• Open to students legally authorized to work in the U.S., without the need for current or future work status authorization or visa sponsorship for employment.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of drug & background screening.
• Eligible candidates will be responsible for personal transportation to and from work site during duration of the internship program.
