D.R. Horton is offering a Summer 2027 Marketing Intern position in Indianapolis.

The program aims to provide hands-on experience, professional development, and exposure to career opportunities across the company's marketing and related functions. Interns rotate through departments, work on projects, perform research, and gain exposure to the homebuilding process, customer experience, and corporate operations.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a four-year college/university and entering junior or senior year, or recently graduated.
• Pursuing a degree related to the internship area, including business, marketing, communications, or related fields.
• Demonstrated interest in homebuilding, financial services, real estate, or related functions.
• Strong willingness to learn and take initiative in a professional team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact professionally.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations within the assigned department or function.
• Assist with department projects, research, reporting, administrative activities, coordination efforts, systems, and other business needs.
• Learn and apply departmental responsibilities, industry terminology, business systems, company policies, safety requirements, and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with team members and cross‑functional departments to understand how Company supports homebuilding and customer experience.
• Participate in training programs, meetings, rotations, and other learning opportunities.
• Explore career opportunities within D.R. Horton and affiliated businesses after graduation.
• Conduct all business in a professional, ethical, and respectful manner.

D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Marketing Intern . The internship program is designed to provide students with hands‑on experience, professional development, and exposure to career opportunities within D.R. Horton, its affiliated business functions, and the homebuilding and homebuying process. Interns are assigned to a primary department or functional area and gain experience through departmental rotations, project work, administrative support, research, reporting, training, office and field‑based activities, jobsite observation, systems support, and other learning opportunities based on departmental needs, location, and business priorities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Support daily operations within the assigned department, division, office, field location, jobsite, or business function
• Assist with department-specific projects, research, reporting, administrative activities, coordination efforts, systems, processes, and other business needs assigned
• Learn and apply departmental responsibilities, industry terminology, business systems, company policies, safety requirements, and standard operating procedures
• Collaborate with team members and cross‑functional departments to gain an understanding of how various areas of the Company support homebuilding, homebuying, business operations, and the overall customer experience
• Participate in training programs, meetings, departmental rotations, and other learning opportunities designed to enhance knowledge of the Company, assigned function, and potential career paths
• Explore career opportunities within D.R. Horton and affiliated businesses that may lead to future full‑time employment following graduation
• Conduct all business in a professional, ethical, and respectful manner that supports customers and contributes to the Company’s reputation and success
• Ability to work overtime
• Ability to travel including occasional overnight travel, as business needs require

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

• Currently enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university and entering junior or senior year, or recently graduated
• Pursuing a degree or coursework related to the assigned internship area, including but not limited to business, technology, finance, construction, real estate, human resources, marketing, communications, operations, or other relevant fields
• Demonstrated interest in learning about career opportunities within homebuilding, financial services, land development, corporate operations, technology, customer service, or other D.R. Horton business functions
• Strong willingness to learn, take initiative, ask questions, and contribute in a professional team environment
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with team members, customers, and business partners
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and follow instructions in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with the ability to learn new software, systems, and processes as needed
• Ability to work independent and collaboratively in a team environment
• Ability to adapt to varying work environments, including office, field, jobsite, corporate, remote, or hybrid settings, depending on the internship assignment.

• Physical requirements vary by internship assignment and work location and may include sitting, standing, walking, reaching, using a computer and other office equipment, communicating with others, and observing details at close and distance ranges. Certain assignments may include travel, field visits, or jobsite exposure.
