Job summary

DV Trading in New York invites a Summer 2027 intern to join its equities desk and help build components of a low-latency trading platform, working on either C++ components or Python tooling depending on your focus.

You will collaborate with senior traders, quantitative researchers, and software developers to understand the full trading tech stack, optimize performance, and participate in code reviews and team discussions.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with expected graduation in 2027 or 2028.
• Strong proficiency in either C++ or Python with some exposure to the other language.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and basic networking concepts.
• Detail-oriented work ethic with eagerness to learn quickly and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain low-latency trading system components using C++ or build data analysis and backtesting tools in Python based on your primary language.
• Work with senior traders, quantitative researchers, and software developers to understand the full trading technology stack.
• Optimize and refactor existing code for performance and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and team discussions, contributing ideas and learning industry best practices.
• Assist in developing exchange connectivity and research pipeline components.
