Job summary

Midwest Pool Management is hiring Lifeguards and Headguards for the upcoming summer season in the Kansas City area. This part-time, seasonal role offers a starting pay of $15.50 per hour with higher rates for Head Lifeguards.

Responsibilities include enforcing safety policies, responding to emergencies, and assisting guests. Certifications are required and training is provided prior to working, with regular in-service hours and a professional work environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 15 years of age or older by the date of Lifeguard Certification Class (qualification item).
• Ability to swim.
• Available to work part-time, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong observational skills to ensure safety guidelines are followed.
• Strong verbal communication skills to engage with guests, team members, and management.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and transport 50+ feet to perform rescues or move equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of all guests by enforcing policies, rules, and regulations.
• Recognize and respond effectively to emergency situations.
• Participate in regular in-service training (minimum 4 hours per month).
• Keep facility clean, organized, and visually appealing.
• Proactively assist guests by answering questions and providing directions.
• Maintain knowledge of facility programming such as swim lessons and activities.
• Represent Midwest Pool Management professionally at all times.
• Know your schedule and arrive to work on time and prepared.
• Wear the required company uniform while on duty.
• Additional responsibilities for Head Lifeguard positions.

Midwest Pool Management is hiring Lifeguards and Headguards for the upcoming summer season. Our Lifeguards and Headguards and play a critical role in creating a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for guests at aquatic facilities throughout the Kansas City area.

This role is ideal for individuals who are responsible, alert, and enjoy working with people in an active, outdoor setting. Schedule & Pay

• Schedule: Mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Employment Type: Part-time, Seasonal (May - September)
• Pay: Starting at $15.50 per hour (higher rates available for Head Lifeguards)

Certifications & Training

• Lifeguard Certification is required.
• If you currently hold a certification, it will be evaluated based on its content and expiration date
• Lifeguard training is available and must be successfully completed prior to working
• The Lifeguard Certification course covers emergency response, first aid, CPR, and AED use. These skills are essential for responding quickly and confidently to emergencies
