Job summary

Midwest Pool Management in Missouri is hiring for Leadership Positions (Assistant Managers and Managers) for the upcoming summer season. These roles supervise Lifeguard staff, ensure safety standards, enforce health regulations, and provide top-tier guest service.

The positions are part-time, seasonal (May–September) with flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays. Starting pay is $17.50 per hour, with opportunities to grow leadership skills and impact guest

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to swim.
• Available to work flexible hours to meet staffing needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to respond to emergencies.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, management, and guests.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and transport 50+ feet to perform rescues or move equipment/chemicals safely.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the facility adheres to the highest safety standards and take action to correct unsafe or potentially dangerous areas.
• Be visible and accessible while on duty; handle a variety of situations calmly, helpfully, and assertively, and know when to ask for assistance.
• Lead and supervise Lifeguard staff, ensure they follow facility rules and conduct audits to monitor performance.
• Maintain open and professional communication with guests, Clients, and staff members including Field Supervisors, District Managers, and the MPM Office.
• Create staff schedule, know the schedule, and arrive at work on time.
• Always present yourself professionally through both appearance and attitude.
• Check and adjust chemicals; fill out daily checklists, inventories, and reports as needed.
• Ensure all areas are organized, clean, and visually appealing, including bathrooms, deck, guard office, and pump room.
• Attend meetings with Supervisors and Clients as required.
• Attend regular in-service training (minimum of 4 hours per month).
• Knowledge of and adhering to the 15-Year-Old Employee Guidelines.
• Wear the required company uniform while on duty.

Certifications & Training

• Lifeguard Certification is required.
• If you currently hold a certification, it will be evaluated based on its content and expiration date
• Lifeguard training is available and must be successfully completed prior to working
• The Lifeguard Certification course covers emergency response, first aid, CPR, and AED use. These skills are essential for responding quickly and confidently to emergencies
