Summer Field Engineer Intern
Harder Mechanical is one of the nation’s largest mechanical contractors with an outstanding reputation for working safely, meeting tough schedules, and delivering quality projects. Based in Portland Oregon, we work primarily in the 11-western states with regional offices in Reno, NV; Phoenix, AZ; Concord, CA; and Salt Lake City, UT.
As a Summer Field Engineer Intern, you will be performing some of the actual duties of a full-time project engineer and gain hands‑on experience in the construction environment. You may assist the project team with planning, scheduling, and executing a specific scope of your assigned project. This internship will give you experience in mechanical engineering, navigating the construction industry, and in learning how to communicate with different parties on the job site. Our internship program is designed to support your career and further your path into entry level engineering positions.
Full time summer internships are available for 2027, determined by company workload in Portland, OR; Phoenix, AZ; Sunnyvale, CA; Reno, NV; and Boise, ID. This position is paid hourly with the possibility of overtime as needed. Please submit a cover letter along with your resume.
