Job summary

Stryker in Omaha seeks an energetic Intern in Ortho Sales to gain hands-on experience with leading medical technology. You will shadow sales and operations teams while supporting project work and account development.

The internship targets students pursuing a related bachelor’s degree, with strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. The program offers exposure to multiple orthopaedic products and a chance to advance within a global healthcare leader.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a related field with plans to enroll after summer.
• Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above (preferred).
• Must be a U.S. permanent resident or citizen.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Willing to adapt to changing priorities with enthusiasm.
• Proficient with basic Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Shadow Sales Associates, Sales Representatives, and Operations Team Members to gain insight into the branch.
• Prepare a project segment that develops a target account list or marketing strategy.
• Learn selling skills and instrument use techniques with coaching from sales staff.
• Shadow and assist Team Members in delivering kits to accounts.
• Assist warehouse in assembling and breaking down instrument kits and preparing products for surgery.
• Interact with various teams concerning the products.
• Assist Sales and Field Operations on special projects.

What You Need

• Currently working oncompletion of Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent; we will only consider students who plan to be enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the summer

What You Will Do

• Shadow Sales Associates, Sales Representatives, and Operations Team Members to gain insight into all aspects of the branch; Attend and/or prepare a sales presentation
• Prepare a project segment that develops a target account list and or development of a marketing potential or strategy
• Learn selling skills, processes, and instrument use techniques by coaching/mentoring support from Sales Representatives, Sales Associates and Sales Managers
• Shadow and assist Team Member Drivers with the delivery of kits to and from account
• Assist Team Members in warehouse in assembling and breaking down instrument kits, preparing products for surgery, etc.
• Interact with various teams concerning the products
• Assist Sales and Field Operations Teams with special projects as assigned

$20 min hourly wage – $35 max hourly wage, sign-on bonus, 11 paid holidays annually, and either paid corporate housing or a living stipend, dependent upon hiring location
