Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers in Orlando is seeking a paid Landscape Design Intern to join our Landscape Architecture group. The internship focuses on learning the ins and outs of landscape architecture within a multi-disciplinary firm, with professional development at the forefront of our internal curriculum.

You will work with surveyors and engineers to refine designs for master-planned communities, parks, and urban spaces, using SketchUp, AutoCAD, Lumion, and the Adobe suite.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or related field from an accredited program.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office; interest in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite encouraged.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of design concepts, schematic design, cost estimates, and code analysis and presentation as assigned.
• Develop design concepts by hand graphics and computer graphic programs, including SketchUp, Lumion, AutoCAD, and Adobe Suite.
• Maintain project communications and information.
• Prepare designs previously originated or refine and develop sketches provided by others.
• Learn to read and understand construction drawings, digital mapping, and other related documentation.
• Additional related duties as needed.
