Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Savannah, GA, invites college students to join the Summer 2027 Materials and Processes Engineering (NDT) internship. You will support the NDT group by participating in qualification planning, reviewing drawings, and gaining hands-on experience with ultrasonic, magnetic particle, eddy current, and radiography inspection technologies.

On-site work during May–August 2027, you will collaborate with engineers and inspectors to advance aerospace components toward

Qualifications

• Candidates pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Materials Science, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or related fields.
• Must be enrolled full-time and available on-site in Savannah, GA for Summer 2027.
• GPA 3.0 or higher (unrounded) listed on resume.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing NDT qualification and test plans.
• Review engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Support defect placement activities for method qualification and validation.
• Gain hands-on experience with NDT inspection equipment and technologies.
• Document test results and prepare technical reports.

About the Position

Gulfstream Materials and Processes (M&P) Engineering is seeking a prime candidate to support our Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) group. This internship opportunity provides hands‑on experience supporting the evaluation of aerospace components while working alongside experienced engineers and NDT specialists.

Typical Major(s):

This position is ideal for students pursuing degrees in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Materials Science, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical disciplines who are interested in learning advanced inspection technologies and aerospace manufacturing processes.

Education and Other Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher
• Must be available to work on-site in Savannah, GA during the Summer 2027 semester, beginning in May 2027.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 (without rounding); must be listed on resume.

• Scope of Work:
