Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation seeks a Summer 2027 Collegiate Intern in Flight Sciences / Thermofluid Analysis at Savannah, GA. You will engage in thermal modeling, CFD, and data analysis to support aircraft system performance.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher.
• Completion of sophomore year is required.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher (unrounded) and listed on resume.
• Rotation requirements: Juniors 2 rotations; Seniors & Graduate Students 1 rotation.
• Minimum duration: 12 weeks (summer); 14–16 weeks (spring and fall).
• Must be onsite; this is not a remote position.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• This role requires reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.

Responsibilities

• Work on thermofluid analysis and numerical simulations to assess environmental conditions across aircraft systems.
• Develop and apply thermal modeling and fluid dynamics techniques to improve design performance.
• Analyze test data to support certification and ensure equipment remains within temperature and ventilation limits.

Summer 2027 - IEF - Flight Sciences / Thermofluid Analysis Collegiate Intern in GAC Savannah

About the Position

Thermofluid Analysis engineers / interns are responsible for a wide variety of analytical work, focusing on thermal modeling and fluid systems performance. The group develops new techniques to improve aircraft system design, especially on new aircraft programs. Thermofluids Analysis engineers build numerical simulations to predict environmental conditions throughout the aircraft, and to predict pneumatic, fuel, and hydraulic system performance. The group is also responsible for test data analysis in support of certification, ensuring all equipment on the aircraft remains within acceptable temperature and ventilation environments.

The student will gain knowledge of aircraft system design, FAR Part 25 regulations, advanced simulation techniques, and data analysis techniques. The individuals will be participating in real projects while being mentored by senior engineers.
