Job summary

Gulfstream (a division of General Dynamics) invites students to join the Flight Operations Internship as a Collegiate Associate in Savannah, GA this Summer 2027. You will work on real projects, tour facilities, and interact with company leaders to gain exposure to innovative aerospace engineering practices.

Open to undergraduates through PhD students, the program emphasizes hands-on experience in flight operations, safety systems, and analytics while building a professional network and potential

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college aviation program such as pilot training, aircraft dispatch, business aviation, or a related field.
• Must be available to work on-site in Savannah, GA during Summer 2027 (May 2027).
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (unrounded); must be listed on resume.

Responsibilities

• Support Gulfstream Flight Operations to improve efficiency across the Gulfstream fleet.
• Interface with Flight Operations Supervisor, Directors, Chief Pilots, Dispatch Senior Manager and VP of Flight Ops to complete projects that enhance processes and efficiencies for Gulfstream fleets.
• Complete assigned projects and work plans that include flight safety systems, business intelligence/analytics, flight operations, and aeronautical, mechanical, or systems engineering.
• Support efficient work practices and processes.

About the position

Gulfstream engineering interns in Innovation, Engineering and Flight are an integral part of the engineering staff, contributing to projects that are both technically challenging and educationally stimulating.

We are looking for all levels of educational experience from undergraduates to master's and PhD studentswho are seeking professional experience in a state‑of‑the‑art engineering environment. Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• This position will support the Gulfstream Flight Operations organization to improve efficiency across the company's Gulfstream fleet.
• Interns will interface with the Flight Operations Supervisor, Directors, Chief Pilots, Dispatch Senior Manager and VP of Flight Ops to complete projects that enhance processes and efficiencies for all mission‑specific Gulfstream fleets (e.g., production test, demonstration, Airborne Customer Support).
• Complete assigned projects and work plans that include - but are not limited to flight safety systems, business intelligence/analytics, flight operations, and aeronautical, mechanical, or systems engineering.
• Support efficient work practices and processes.

Education and Other Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a college aviation program such as pilot training, aircraft dispatch, business aviation, or a related field.
• Must be available to work on‑site in Savannah, GA during the Summer 2027 semester, beginning in May 2027.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 (without rounding); must be listed on resume.
