Job summary

Howmet Engine Systems invites applications for its 2027 summer intern program in Cleveland, OH. The 10–14 week schedule features hands-on training, plant tours, seminars, networking events, and mentor-led sessions.

Interns will work on a project designed to add direct value to the business and will present results to plant managers and mentors. The program aims to identify interns for potential entry‑level openings and offers early exposure to multiple engineering disciplines within Howmet

Qualifications

• Basic Qualifications: pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum completion of Sophomore level coursework.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Preferred Qualifications: strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a self-directed and team environment.

Responsibilities

We are seeking highly motivated and energetic students for the 2027 summer intern program at Howmet Engine Systems. The program consists of 10-14 weeks of structured hands-on training involving plant tours, seminars, networking events, speaker training, and a project selected to add direct value to the business. At the conclusion of the program, interns will present their projects to plant managers, supervisors, and mentors. An internship at Howmet Engine Systems will provide an invaluable experience that you can utilize in any roles, and it’s Howmet Aerospace’s goal to evaluate our interns for potential entry-level openings.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Candidate must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree from anaccredited institution.
• Minimum completion of Sophomore level coursework from an accredited institution.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Ability to work in a self-directed and team environment.

Hourly Range: $23-25/hour approximation (actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
