Job summary

Verdantas is seeking a Summer 2027 Intern for the Wilmington/Dover, DE offices. You will gain hands-on experience supporting multi-disciplinary projects in civil and environmental engineering, using CAD and data analysis tools while collaborating with professionals.

This role offers exposure to fieldwork, design preparation, and cost-estimating templates, with travel as needed and a focus on professional growth in a people‑first culture.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Must be able to write effectively and articulate outcomes to clients and team members.
• The position may include travel.
• Previous engineering internship/Co‑Op experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing engineering calculations, design drawings, specifications, and visual aids.
• Assist with fieldwork including site inspections, surveys, GPS mapping.
• Research, collect, and enter data, and apply technical principles to data interpretation.
• Review submittals and technical documents for project compliance and draft documents.
• Prepare CAD and GIS drawings and documents.
• Annual update of cost-estimating database.
• Prepare and update design and calculation templates.
• Miscellaneous assignments as needed.
