Job summary

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field such as CS or CE.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, SQL, and Git.
• Comfortable in Linux environments and using CLI tools.
• Understanding of databases and suitable use cases.
• Strong systems thinking and ability to explain trade-offs.
• Experience with AWS or cloud platforms is a plus.
• Open-source contribution is a plus.
• Ability to own projects and deliver results in a small team.
• Passion for technology and continuous learning.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Who will you work for?

You will be working for one of our Data Platform team's subdivisions. The Data Platform team as a whole is responsible for ingesting data for all business lines in Tradeweb, making data available to users, managing data access and tools and running critical data production services. Additionally, the team works closely with Data Science (and other internal teams) and is involved in developing new data products and tools.

What do you need to succeed?

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash/Shell scripting, SQL, and Git.
• Comfortable working in Linux environments and using command‑line tools.
• Understanding of database technologies, architectures, and their appropriate use cases.
• Strong understanding of fundamental systems concepts, with the ability to evaluate and clearly explain technical trade‑offs.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms is a plus.
• Experience contributing to open‑source projects is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and deliver results both independently and as part of a small, collaborative team.
• Strong passion for technology and continuous learning.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

The current pay range for this role if performed in the city of New York is currently $35-$75 hourly based on a regular, full‑time schedule. The amount of pay offered will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to qualifications, market data, geographic location, and internal guidelines.
