Job summary

Frontier Cooperative is offering a Summer 2027 Custom Applicator Internship to gain hands-on experience in operating agricultural equipment and supporting agronomy operations. You will learn custom application practices under mentors and contribute to customer-focused service for local growers.

Responsibilities include applying crop protection products and nutrients, learning equipment operation, and assisting with soil sampling and data gathering.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree related to Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Technology, or related field.
• Strong interest in agricultural equipment, crop production, and technology.
• Ability to work safely and independently or with a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with applying crop protection products and nutrients to fields.
• Learn modern custom application techniques and equipment operation.
• Support Advisors to ensure orders meet customer needs.
• Operate and maintain application, agronomy, and grain handling equipment under supervision.
• Assist with mixing, loading, and handling inputs on-site.
• Deliver bulk and packaged materials to customer locations.
• Monitor treated fields and assist with follow-up activities.
• Collect soil samples and assist with agronomic data gathering.
