Job summary

Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) is offering a Summer 2027 Application Support Analyst Intern role in Wichita, KS. You will work with IT professionals to troubleshoot issues, support application enhancements, and collaborate with business users to improve processes and technology solutions.

You will partner with application support professionals and stakeholders to ensure critical systems enable successful business outcomes, while gaining hands‑on experience in ERP and engineering applications

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree program related to Information Systems, MIS, CS or a related technical field with at least one semester remaining after the internship.
• Eligible for full‑time employment by June 2028.
• Curiosity and hands‑on experience with AI/ML tools or generative assistants (Copilot, LLMs, AI APIs) or willingness to learn and apply such tools safely under guidance.
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a Visa transfer or Visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist IT and business teams in supporting application systems and learn to troubleshoot basic technical issues.
• Help proactively monitor and support key ERP and Engineering applications.
• Partner with business users to understand system challenges and identify opportunities for improvement.

What You Will Do

• Assist IT and business teams in supporting application systems and learning how to troubleshoot basic technical issues

• Recommend enhancements of products to optimize work processes


• Continue to quickly learn new systems and products based on business needs


• Participate in projects that improve business processes, application functionality, and user experience


• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to support application reliability and business continuity

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Currently enrolled in a degree program related to one of the following areas: Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related technical field with at least one semester or term remaining after the internship


• Eligible for full‑time employment by June 202 8


• Curiosity and basic hands‑on experience experimenting with AI/ML tools or generative assistants (C opilot , LLMs, AI APIs) or a clear willingness to learn and apply such tools safely under guidance.


• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a Visa transfer or Visa sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead

• Initiative, natural curiosity, strong communication skills, and an aptitude for fast‑paced learning


• Prior IT support or f amiliarity with IT service management or ticketing tools (i.e., ServiceNow) is a plus


• Interest in process improvement , software engineering, o r data analytics
