Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking a Summer 2027 Intern as a Forward Deployed Engineer for the Global Public Sector. This 12-week remote program offers mentorship, real-world AI agent projects, and exposure to government, nonprofit, and education customers.

You will shadow experienced engineers, help build AI solutions, and deliver a capstone presentation with the product team. Currently pursuing CS or related field with interest in AI.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex.
• Some experience with LLMs and prompt engineering.
• Basic understanding of APIs, databases, and data modeling.
• Willingness to learn new languages and tools.

Responsibilities

• Shadow Forward Deployed Engineers and Deployment Strategists in customer meetings and sessions.
• Contribute to building AI agents that take real actions for organizations.
• Write and test prompts, improving agent reasoning and tool use.
• Own an intern project (tool/prototype) for customer solutions.
• Help build data pipelines and connect systems using Snowflake/Databricks.
• Help build dashboards tracking agent performance.
• Develop proofs-of-concept and present a capstone project.
• Present work to senior engineers and product teams.
