Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking an entry-level intern to support day-to-day operating objectives within the assigned area and participate in project planning and implementation. You will conduct research and reporting with actionable recommendations under supervision.

Under guidance from senior staff, you will develop professional skills, engage in area-specific initiatives, and contribute to analyses and studies essential to the operating unit.

Qualifications

• For College Interns: Full or part time enrollment in an accredited post-secondary education program
• For High School Interns: Enrollment at a high school within Allegheny or Erie County

Responsibilities

• Display effective communication skills by interacting with colleagues and others in planning assignments and resolving day-to-day operational problems.
• Under supervision, provide entry-level professional services with guidance, training and mentoring from senior personnel.
• Undertake and/or participate in projects and programs to develop professional skills and expertise.
• Participate in planning and implementing unit projects and initiatives within area of expertise.
• Conduct research and reporting inclusive of recommendations or alternative proposals for action as requested by management.
• Undertake related studies or enrichment programs as appropriate to the objectives of the unit.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

GENERAL OVERVIEW:
