Job summary

Enterprise in Burlington, MA is offering a Summer Accounting Internship as part of our Business Management Training program. You will learn accounting procedures from accounts payable/receivable to financial statement preparation and analysis.

You will support departments across our rental branches, gain hands-on exposure, and contribute to monthly reports. The role is 40 hours/week, for up to 89 days, with compensation of $25 per hour starting late May/early June.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Accounting or Finance.
• Graduation date expected between August 2027 and May 2028.
• Must be at least 18 years old and available for a 40-hour work week May–August 2027.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial statements & analysis.
• Work closely with rental branches and other departments.
• Assist accounting managers with reports and schedules.
• Involved with A/P & A/R functions; cash receipts & petty cash.
• Perform miscellaneous administrative duties as needed.

The Internship is designed to be a temporary position with employment not to exceed 89 days and will start late May/early June and last through August with a minimum commitment of 10 weeks.

Responsibilities

Starting as an Accounting Intern, you will be exposed to basic accounting procedures and principles ranging from accounts payable and receivable systems to financial statement, preparation, and analysis. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Assist in preparing financial statement & analysis
• Work closely with rental branches and other departments
• Assist accounting managers with reports, etc.
• Involved with A/P & A/R functions; cash receipts & petty cash
• Assist in accounting schedules & filing
• Perform miscellaneous administrative duties as needed
