Job summary

Michigan Sugar Company is seeking a Sugar Specialist for a temporary campaign at the Croswell Factory. The role involves operating sugar packaging equipment, loading bulk trailers, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and Safe Quality Food requirements.

Fork-truck training may be required, and occasional computer-based documentation is part of the job. The position is hourly with varying schedules and is tied to the September–December campaign.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to learn and follow quality system guidelines (AIB, SQF & GMP).
• Must be able to lift up to 50–70 lbs and work outdoors or indoors.

Responsibilities

• Operate sugar packaging equipment per customer specifications.
• Load bulk trailers and rail cars with sugar or beet co-products.
• Perform quality checks to ensure finished products meet requirements.
• Complete required documentation; may involve computer usage or programming changes.
