Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Busser to support the Front of House team in Charlotte, NC. The role focuses on keeping the dining area pristine, clearing items as guests finish, and preparing service stations for the next guests throughout the shift.

You will assist with bus tub management, dish area organization, and general floor care, ensuring a smooth workflow for servers and dish staff. This position requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain dining area and tables during service by clearing plates, glassware, and utensils as guests finish.
• Sanitize and reset tables, sweep around tables, and ensure clean surfaces for new guests.
• Manage dirty dishes and bus tubs, keeping bus tubs organized and transport to the dish pit efficient.
• Support overall operations by monitoring waste and assisting with tasks as designated by management.

Job Title: BusserDepartment: Front of House (FOH)Reports To: Shift Manager / FOH SupervisorRole PurposeAssists the front-of-house team throughout the shift by maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and readiness of the dining areas and service stations.CORE RESPONSIBILITIESDining Area & Table MaintenanceActive Service: Clear plates, glassware, and utensils from active tables as guests finish.Table Turnaround: Clear empty tables, sanitize surfaces, sweep under and around the table, and reset tables as needed for incoming guests.Floor Care: Perform general sweeping throughout all dining areas to maintain overall dining room presentation.Dish Area & Bus Tub ManagementTransport: Run dirty dishes and full bus tubs from service stations to the dish pit efficiently.Station & Area Organization: Keep bus tubs organized and maintain order within the dish area to ensure smooth workflow for dishwashers and floor staff.Operations & Facility SupportWaste Management: Monitor and change out trash cans in the dining and service areas as needed.Manager Assignments: Complete additional operational tasks and duties as designated by management.POSITION REQUIREMENTSTeamwork: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and support team members across the shift.Physical Demands: Ability to remain on feet and move continuously for the entire duration of a shift.Lifting Capacity: Ability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver up to 50 lbs (e.g., loaded bus tubs, trash bags, equipment).
