Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. in Atlanta, GA is seeking a SUE Technician to perform subsurface utility investigations using GPR, electromagnetic locators, and vacuum excavation techniques.

You will accurately locate underground utilities and interpret field sketches and as-built data. The role collaborates with project managers and engineers to ensure safe excavation and compliant reporting.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of experience in SUE/utility locating.
• Familiarity with SUE methods including QL-B, QL-C, QLD and QL-A.
• Ability to read and interpret construction and utility plans.
• Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Physical Requirements:

• Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments
• Ability to carry required instruments and equipment
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• The worker is subject to variable climate and environmental conditions including but not limited to extreme cold and heat.
