Job summary

Safe Site Utility Services LLC is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead complex SUE projects in Colorado. You will drive scope development through final delivery, manage budgets, schedules, staffing, and client communications, and coordinate with Colorado 811 and public agencies.

You will review field data, CAD mappings, and test-hole information for QA/QC, mentor junior staff, and support proposals and process improvements across projects.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of SUE field practices and underground utility systems.
• Ability to read and interpret civil, transportation, utility, and construction plans.
• Strong client communication, leadership, budgeting, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Colorado.
• Experience managing multiple crews and complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex SUE projects from scope development through final delivery.
• Manage project scope, budget, schedule, staffing, risk, and client communication.
• Direct field execution, crew assignments, survey/mapping support, test-hole coordination, and engineering review.
• Coordinate with Colorado 811, utility owners, CDOT, municipalities, and other jurisdictions.

Duties & Responsibilities

Preferred Skills

• 10+ years of SUE and utility locating/designating experience.


• Experience with CDOT, municipal, utility, railroad, transportation, or design-build projects.


• Strong working knowledge of ASCE 38-22 and Colorado 811.


• Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS/mapping, PointMan, Fulcrum, or similar tools.


• Degree in civil engineering, surveying, construction management, or a related field is beneficial but not required.
