Job summary

SAM, a nationwide leader in geospatial and construction-phase solutions, seeks a Crew Coordinator in Virginia. You will assist field planning, scheduling, and oversee crews under senior supervision to ensure safe, on-time project delivery.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years managing at least 10 crews, a high school diploma, flexible hours, and strong written and verbal communication. Proficiency in Word and Excel is a plus as you support field operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Crew Coordinator managing at least 10 crews.
• High School Diploma required; some college a plus.
• Must be able to work flexible hours (nights, weekends and out of town work possible).
• Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven work history, strong work ethic and team-player attitude.
• Highly organized and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assists department personnel with planning and scheduling of field survey personnel and equipment.
• Manages, with senior management oversight, the selection, placement, training, appraisal, safety and discipline of assigned employees.
• Understands the operations of field survey equipment and has the ability to adapt to new equipment and technologies.
• Oversees the direction of field activities of the crews set forth by the field supervisors and crew chiefs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
