Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. in Atlanta, GA seeks a skilled SUE CAD Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will process survey data, develop precise SUE CAD plans, and ensure compliance with GDOT standards.

This role involves close collaboration with project managers and field crews and requires proficiency in various CAD software. Responsibilities include QA/QC checks on CAD drawings, adherence to PDP/EDG, and supporting project goals and timelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a SUE CAD Technician.
• Proficiency in MicroStation v8i, OpenRoads, AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience with GDOT projects is highly preferred.
• Strong ability to read and interpret maps and technical drawings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Process raw survey data from multiple sources into CAD-compatible formats.
• Develop detailed and accurate SUE CAD plans in alignment with GDOT’s PDP and EDG.
• Conduct QA/QC checks on CAD drawings to ensure accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
• Follow GDOT’s SUE Deliverable Checklist to ensure compliance with regulatory and project standards.
• Work closely with the SUE Project Manager to meet project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with project managers, providing updates and addressing any project-related issues.
• Collaborate with field crews to verify utility locations and resolve discrepancies in data.
• Identify opportunities for improvement within CAD workflows, proposing methods to enhance efficiency.
• Assist in other related tasks as needed to support project goals and client needs.

Position Overview

The ideal candidate will have experience processing survey data, developing precise SUE CAD plans, and ensuring compliance with GDOT standards. This role involves close collaboration with project managers, field crews, and requires proficiency in various CAD software.

• Conduct rigorous QA/QC checks on CAD drawings to ensure accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
• Follow GDOT’s SUE Deliverable Checklist to ensure compliance with regulatory and project standards.
• Work closely with the SUE Project Manager to meet project goals, timelines, and deliverables.

Education/Experience
