Job summary

Maryland Addiction Recovery Center in Towson, MD is seeking a Primary Therapist to support patients and families on their recovery journey. The position manages about 10 patients across Community Living Treatment, PHP, and IOP levels of care.

The role includes leading process and structured groups, joining the Family Recovery Program, conducting urinalysis tests, and documenting progress. Licensure in LCSW-C, LMSW, LCPC, LGPC, CSC-AD or CAC-AD is required.

Qualifications

• LCSW-C, LMSW, LCPC, LGPC, CSC-AD or CAC-AD licensure is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to patients and their families during treatment.
• Maintain a caseload of approximately 10 patients across care levels.
• Run process and structured therapeutic groups.
• Participate in the Family Recovery Program and related groups.
• Conduct urinalysis drug tests and document progress.
• Communicate patient progress with staff and referral sources.
• Participate in on-call clinical rotation.

Salary Range: $60,000.00 To $85,000.00 Annually

A day in the life of a Primary Therapist –

• Play an integral part in a patient’s treatment experience by providing support to them and their families
• Support patients throughout their treatment process
• Maintain a caseload of approximately 10 patients (Community Living Treatment, PHP, and IOP levels of care)
• Participate in MARC’s Family Recovery Program (FRP), to include co-leading bi-weekly family education support groups on a rotation with other clinical team members and occasionally participate in the intensive therapeutic family weekends which are held every 6-8 weeks
• Run both process and structured therapeutic groups

• Work collaboratively to both seek guidance on cases and provide guidance to other team members
• Be an active member of an interdisciplinary team

Additional Job duties include:

• Conduct urinalysis drug tests with patients
• Documentation and communication of patient progress (progress notes, email, verbal conversations) with internal staff
• Documentation and communication of patient progress with referral source and outpatient provider(s)
• Participate in clinical on-call rotation
• Run evening groups as assigned
