Job summary

Kings View Community Services, Inc. in Madera, CA is seeking a Certified Substance Use Disorder Counselor to provide individual and group counseling, develop treatment plans, and coordinate case management within our behavioral health program.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $22.34- $25.34 per hour

Position Overview

Kings View is seeking a Certified Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselor to provide counseling, case management, education, outreach, and treatment planning services for individuals participating in substance use disorder treatment programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services
• Conduct assessments and support treatment planning
• Provide case management and referrals
• Maintain participant records and documentation
• Conduct testing and monitor participant compliance
• Communicate with referral sources and treatment teams
• Attend staff meetings and trainings

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Behavioral/Social Sciences or equivalent coursework
• Valid California Driver's License (Class C)
• Alcohol and Drug Registration and active pursuit of certification through a DHCS-recognized agency

Required Experience

• Two (2) years related experience
• Familiarity with substance use disorder treatment principles
• Experience with electronic health record systems

Preferred Qualifications

• CADTP membership encouraged
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
