Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Utility Analyst to support SUE operations for our North Carolina survey practice. The role requires statewide travel, coordinating with SUE and conventional survey teams, and performing field tasks including vacuum excavation and utility designation.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, and SUE Party Chief experience is preferred. Must be willing to travel and hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Previous experience as SUE Party Chief preferred.
• Must be able to work overtime as required.
• Must be willing and able to travel.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates operations of SUE field crew.
• Coordinates with other project leads, clients and utility providers.
• Perform field assignments that include vacuum excavation and utility designation.
• Performs operations with utility locating equipment.
• Perform records research
• Proficient in understanding construction plans and utility records.
• Follows policy and procedures to confirm all deliverables are done accurately and efficiently.
• Mentor field staff in the use of vacuum excavation and utility designation equipment.

Candidate must be able to work in a fast paced environment, travel to projects throughout the state, participate in multiple projects,coordinate dailywith management and other SUE and conventional survey teams and perform field related activities.
