Job summary

WCL Group is seeking an ALM Subsurface Production Technologist in Midland, TX. You will develop and sustain Power BI dashboards, automate reporting with Python and SQL, and transform complex data into actionable visuals for leadership.

You will ensure data quality across production and regulatory datasets, support New Mexico regulatory reporting, and contribute to P&A package workflows. Onsite, 1-year contract with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards providing actionable insights.
• Create Python- and SQL-based solutions to automate reporting and workflows.
• Ensure data quality and data stewardship across production and regulatory datasets.
• Support regulatory reporting and data validation processes.
• Coordinate data definitions, business rules, and visualization methodologies.
• Familiarity with P&A (Plug and Abandonment) data and AFE generation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards that provide actionable insights for ALM Subsurface, Operations and leadership teams.
• Develop Python- and SQL-based solutions to automate reporting, data validation and recurring business workflows.
• Transform complex operational and subsurface data into scalable visualizations and decision-support tools.
• Support enterprise data-source transitions, dashboard migrations and reporting enhancements.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize and automate manual work processes across the organization.
• Maintain data quality and integrity across production, well test, allocation and regulatory datasets.
