Job summary

MSAD 75 in Maine's Midcoast is seeking a Substitute Van Driver to join our transportation team. You will transport students on scheduled routes and field trips, using safe driving practices and state regulations to ensure timely arrivals.

Requirements include a high school diploma, a clean driving record, ability to read route sheets, and CHRC clearance. This is a daytime role with a focus on safety and teamwork to support our students' success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and correctly interpret route sheets.
• Familiar with district streets and roads a plus.

Responsibilities

• Transport all passengers including special education students over scheduled routes and / or from special excursions ensuring efficient, safe transport and loading and unloading from the bus
• Obey all traffic laws and observe all mandatory safety regulations for school buses
• Maintain discipline on the school bus at all times by following MSAD#75 policies and procedures, including but not limited to student discipline procedures, field trip guideline and daily reporting requirements
• Perform daily bus checks as required
• Implement bus routes and field trips in accordance with assigned schedules
• Notify the appropriate authorities in cases of mechanical failures, delays or accidents

2026-2027 PAY RATE: $25.76/hour
