SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS

Must complete the entire CSD substitute application packet, which includes payroll forms, submit proof of highest level of education, and complete a criminal background check before starting. Complete the online application, then contact the CSD Admin. Office for a substitute packet, which will include a Substitute Teacher Handbook, and the required SD/FBI fingerprint/background check cards and payroll forms/materials. Minimum requirement: HS graduate. Pay range $115/day-$140/day. Retired CSD Teachers start at $140/day.

IMPORTANT!!

You MUST call 605-673-3154 or stop by the CSD Admin. Office at 527 Montgomery St. (enter gym doors off of 5th St.) to obtain the remainder of the substitute packet. Please call 605.673.3154 if you need a packet mailed to you. The background check takes 2-4 weeks to process after being received at DCI.

ALL payroll items must be submitted before being placed on the sub list. Missing paperwork WILL delay the process. Please complete the packet entirely and submit all forms and documentation.
