Job summary

AITKIN PUBLIC SCHOOLS in Minnesota is seeking individuals to join our School District Teacher Substitute List (on-call and at-will). The substitute list supports elementary and high school coverage.

You will carry out instruction in the absence of the regular teacher, follow lesson plans, and use effective classroom management to facilitate learning. A valid Minnesota Teacher License (or Short-Call Substitute License) through PELSB is required; BA/BS can qualify for substitute licensure.

ISD 1 Aitkin Public Schools is currently accepting applications for individuals interested in being on our School District Teacher Substitute List (on-call and at-will).

To carry out instruction of students in the absence of the regular classroom teacher; follow regular lesson plans as closely as possible; use appropriate classroom management techniques to facilitate learning.

Qualifications:

It is required that you hold a valid Minnesota Teacher License (or Short-Call Substitute License) through PELSB (Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board). If you currently have a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree, you can become licensed as a substitute teacher. Contact Aitkin Public Schools District Office for more information.

Rate of Pay:

$140.00 per school day.

Hours:

Vary according to the substitute opportunity. School days are from 7:45 - 3:15 in Elementary and 8:00 - 3:30 High School.
