Job summary

Education Jobs NJ is seeking substitutes for the 2026-2027 school year across all district schools in New Jersey. Positions include Substitute Teacher and Substitute Aide roles with per diem, as-needed terms.

Employment Terms:

Per Diem Position; as needed position

Qualifications:

1. A regular New Jersey teaching certificate or a substitute teacher's certificate issued by the County Superintendent preferred.
2. Successful prior experience as a classroom teacher.
3. Demonstration of familiarity with school, philosophy, program and policies.
4. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Salary:

• Substitute Teacher - County Certificate $150 per diem rate
• Teaching Certificate: $175 per diem rate
• Substitute Aide Classroom Rate: $19.60
• Substitute ABA Aide Rate: $24.70
• Substitute LLD Aide: $21.00
• Substitute Lunch Aide Rate: $25.55

Requirements:

1. New Jersey resident or willingness to relocate
2. Controlled substance testing and successful completion of criminal history background check are required of all applicants offered employment.

Evaluation:

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel
