Job description

Long-Term Substitute Opportunities

The Bermudian Springs School District is seeking candidates for the following long-term substitute positions at the Elementary School:

• Grade 1 Teacher: Approximately October 4, 2026, to May 17, 2027.
• Music Teacher: Approximately October 13, 2026, to March 1, 2027.
• Grade 4 Teacher: Approximately November 17, 2026, to March 1, 2027.

The Bermudian Springs School District partners with The Substitute Teacher Service (STS) to employ and manage our substitute teachers.

The Bermudian Springs School District will utilize substitutes following Act 86. The Act allows students enrolled in an accredited Pennsylvania college or university who are currently pursuing teacher certification to participate in a program that would allow them to substitute teach once they have earned 60 credit hours. The Substitute Teacher Service has modeled a program that complies with the requirements of the Act.
